There are always opportunities to take a step back and see what’s going on with your business when you are marketing on the internet. There is more information about this and all internet marketing techniques at http://StevenDAgostino.com

I’m sure you started this to make money. If you don’t have the right resources and techniques, this kind of success can be tough.

1.)  Traffic. The sales funnel starts the minute someone opts into your list when they land on your squeeze page. This is your sign-up page or box where the person viewing the website decides to input their personal information to be added to your list.

Without this critical point among your web pages, you have no opportunity to build either a list of potential customers, or develop the sales funnel. Generally, people will just move on and eventually forget about you.

The idea is to keep people at your site long enough for them to leave their contact info. The net result is their agreement to receive more communication from you through your email autoresponder.

Whether your preference is pay-per-click, e-zine articles or any other lead attraction techniques, once a prospect gives you permission to contact them, your sales funnel has begun.

However, in order for you to achieve this goal you need to master attracting people to your website. All internet marketers need to figure out this important skill from the get-go.

You absolutely have to drive strong amounts of traffic to your capture pages if you want your business to be successful.

2.) Constant Communication. Maintaining your prospects’ level of interest and trust in your products and services is the next step for your sales funnel.

If you aren’t providing quality content through your autoresponder, you will more likely lose them as customers. What you are trying to accomplish from the start is showing your prospects and customers that you have value that you can provide to them. Once you are known, trusted and well liked by your prospects, you raise your chances of them returning in the future.

Constant following up with updates for your list both keeps them informed with good content and helps to weed out the people who really don’t belong on that list.

3.)  Marketing. You can start marketing to your prospects when these relationships have been developed. This is the point at which you begin to market further products and services to your list.

You are still in the relationship building stage while providing quality content that they begin to grow excited to receive.

They are starting to wait anxiously for your email autoresponders to arrive with something new and interesting for them.

The more interest and excitement you can spark in your prospects, the more they will put into their business. As this happens, your online business will end up with positive results.

These steps lead to yet another in your sales funnel strategy. You potentially now have both front-end and back-end sales. It’s both of these that will help your sales funnel and business to become successful like you had hoped.

Now that your list is moving along, you can step back and relax. The difficult first-steps toward success have been taken. Grab a free copy of the Quick Start Guide to Sales Funnels to learn more.

Sales Funnels Work, But Only In the Right Niche

When developing your sales funnel, you need to figure out your niche first, right? Actually, this is about the most important step in the process. If you haven’t chosen your niche yet, you need to focus your attention there first.

If you think about it, there are advantages and disadvantages to different niches. For example, my niche is internet marketing. It’s something that Iove and know a lot about. But even though it is one of the most profitable, it is also one of the most difficult to break into and one with the highest failure rates.

You do still need to have some competition, though. Without competition, there is no innovation and new products to sell on a regular basis. There does still need to be a market for what your interests are and what you want to sell.

So you’ll have to do a little testing. When you’re figuring out how profitable your niche is, you can test it out before rolling out our entire project. Get everything ready to collect names and make some font-end sales.

This really isn’t a dfficult thing to do. Give away a short report on your landing page, then follow up with a related product or full-book version of your free report that’s consice and informative for a relatively low price.

If you don’t have one yet, do a search for PLR products in your niche and use that to sell and create a short teaser report. Hand out the report, then follow up wih the book sale. It will make sense to create a follow up system if your niche is getting thousands of searches.

However, you will need to start making some sales. It’s great to get leads, but it’s really hard to track results until you start making sales. You won’t know if you can make any money here until you have some trackable results. That’s okay if not, though. With your list, you can adjust as time goes by, but on the front-end, your conversion stats are more reliable than opt-in stats.

Once you’ve figured out that you can make something of your niche, it is time to get into the planning of your sales funnel. The primary focus here should be meeting the needs of your customers and providing value and quality.

As your funnel progresses, you have to add products and services tailored to your customers’ needs. Over time, you can add more and more higher-priced products and services and make the most profit on the back end.

Adjust your sales funnel to your customer’s specific needs. At first, you may start out with a broad topic niche, like martial arts. Over time, as you do more research on martial arts, you find that people in that niche are looking for more specific things, like “bo staff training” or “Tai Chi for more powerful fighting”. If you keep breaking it down, you can get into dealing with problems like body pains or how to push through a plateau.

Learning more about your niche has a few advantages. First of all, it helps you to learn more and be able to provide more value. Besides, it helps you decide what to put into your sales funnel.

Finding the right niche can be take time and work, so be patient. This is a business, after all, and everyting you do takes time and patience until your machine is running smoothly. You have to be willing to adjust to your customers’ needs. Keep doing your research and adapt as those needs change and develop over time, and you will find success with your sales funnel strategies. To earn money on the Internet is the focus of all marketers online. Affiliate marketing is possible the simplest method around to start making money on the Internet. If you think fat affiliate checks will roll in, without doing anything, after you have signed up for all affiliate programs you are mistaken can find!

I have some news for you – it requires serious resources, either in form of money or use of time, and in most cases both. You cannot earn a lot of money on the Internet by doing nothing – success depend on action.

Affiliate marketing – what is that? As an affiliate you drive traffic to the vendors website. The vendor share the profit with you. The unique link provided you have to promote heavily. 1-2% conversion rate mean that max 2 out of 100 buys, while 98 will click away from the vendors site.

Therefore, a better strategy for affiliate marketing is to collect the name and email adress for visitors. The squeeze page should effectively sell your free report or you will loose the visitor who clicks away. To entice them to give  their name and email adress we give them something of value in exchange. In exchange for their name and email adress they get an ebook, report or similar – the “listbait”. A double opt in email database will increase in value over time, as they can be emailed to until they unsubscribe they purchase the initial offer or something else, or they unsubscribe from the list.

The visitors become subscribers by giving their name and email on the squeeze page. They are double opt-in becauwse they must verify their email to receive the “listbait”. Now you can start emailing offers for the vendor’s products as well as offers for other vendors products. A strategy used by the successful affiliate merketers today. This is the two-step marketing model, and it is much more effective than directly promoting the vendors link. We obtain the “shy yes” when they give their name and email adress for the “listbait”. Since we are givingfree advice in the form of reports given to get name and email adresses. When they accepted your report some of them read it as well. These visitors will often buy from you as accept you as an authority!

A two-step marketing model bring in more money on a consistent manner. With an autoresponder this is autoimated, but this will be discussed in the next article in this series.
